Lloyd A. Foe
I am the III am lllllI am As I was growing up on a farm in West Virginia, I hunted squirrels, turkey and deer. I also fished for native brook trout and smallmouth bass in the mountain streams and rivers. My background gave me the desire and incentive to become a forester, an occupation that would always provide opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.
After graduating from West Virginia University, I worked in North Carolina as a forester for the U.S. Army/U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for 18 years. Beginning in 1989 I worked for the Louisville District Army Corps of Engineers as a Supervisory Realty Specialist until I retired in 2003. I then became a Consulting Forester. For more information, please visit my website at www.foeforestry.com.
Since I do work for a variety of landowners, mostly in the Bluegrass Region of Kentucky, I am able to observe the wildlife populations over a fairly large area. I see a lot of deer and turkeys. The picture above is an example of some of the nice sheds I find during the winter and early spring months.
For landowners or leaseholders who desire maps of their properties, I have the ability to provide Geographic Information System (GIS) Mapping through the use of ESRI ArcGIS Software. In addition to showing the property boundaries, I can use a Global Positioning System (GPS) and the GIS software to map the locations of stands, food plots, trails etc. similar to those shown below.
